Working Group
The PA Road Salt Action Working Group is a statewide network of professionals and volunteers advocating for the reduction of road salt usage in Pennsylvania. We provide advocates with the tools they need to keep roads safe while protecting water, infrastructure, and ecosystems.

Current Advocacy Projects
The PA Road Salt Action (PARSA) coalition is preparing to submit a Chapter 23 Petition to the Pennsylvania Environmental Quality Board (EQB) requesting that the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) develop a Water Quality Standard for chloride that protects aquatic life in all Pennsylvania surface waters.
